International Microsimulation Association

Those interested in microsimulation-based methods might be interested to hear about the launch of the International Microsimulation Association - www.microsimulation.org. The association aims to  promote the free inter-change of experience and ideas between practitioners of  microsimulation worldwide. To this end the goals of the association are to  provide:

• a  repository of links to online microsimulation-related  resources
• an  email discussion list
• an  email news announcement list
• a  bibliography of microsimulation-related  publications
• an  online refereed journal

The association is planning a  major international conference in 2007 to mark the 50th anniversary of  Orcutt's seminal paper, further details of which will be circulated to  association members in due course.

Finally, submissions are invited for the  March 2006 launch issue of the association's journal www.microsimulation.org/IJM/
